If you’ve watched enough K-dramas, you know for sure that the leads take jealousy very seriously. It can be a subtle glare at a rival or a full-blown “Who’s that guy texting you?” interrogation, but jealousy in K-dramas has its own fanbase.
Sometimes it’s cute and heart-fluttering, and other times, it’s so over the top you wonder if these characters need therapy instead of romance. Let’s look at some of the most unforgettable K-dramas with extremely jealous leads and our opinions of them.
Goblin

When Kim Shin realized the Grim Reaper was getting too friendly with Eun-tak, his teenage bride-to-be, he didn’t handle it well. He expressed it with passive-aggressive glares that made his jealousy hilarious and a little scary. To be fair, when you’ve been alive for 900 years to find your fated love, your emotional regulation skills might be a bit rusty in controlling jealousy.
What’s Wrong with Secretary Kim?

Lee Young Joon spent his entire life being adored until his secretary decided to quit. Suddenly, he’s jealous of every man who looks at her. His jealousy wasn’t destructive but ridiculously funny and got viewers engaged. Watching him sulk like a spoiled prince every time someone complimented Secretary Kim was pure hilarity.
Nevertheless

Park Jae Eon was the epitome of toxic charm. He didn’t want a relationship but couldn’t stand seeing Na Bi talk to anyone else. His jealousy was less of an “aww” and more of a “Sir, please get a grip and stop being delusional.” Still, his possessive stares and sudden mood swings kept viewers glued. It was like half in frustration, half in fascination.
Jealousy Incarnate

Lee Hwa Shin was the embodiment of “I’m not jealous, but...” He acted all cool until Pyo Na Ri smiled at another guy, then he completely lost it. His jealousy wasn’t sweet; it was extremely dramatic and kind of funny. One minute he’s pouting, the next he’s acting mushy. To be candid, he made jealousy look attractive, and we swooned at his actions.
Honestly, K-drama jealousy is part of the fun. It adds tension, laughter, and those interestingly awkward moments that fans can’t resist. Both destructive and endearing jealousy in K-drama leads remind us that love, no matter how dramatic, can always keep us hooked and slightly secondhand embarrassed, depending on the situation.
