Historical K-Dramas I Wish I Could Forget Just to Rewatch Again

So clearly, I wasn’t done in part one. Because the more I thought about it, the more dramas kept coming to mind. And this time, it’s historical ones
They gave me that same “I wish I could experience this again for the first time” feeling, but for slightly different reasons. Some for the emotions, some for the twists, and some because I just want to feel that confusion and excitement again.
Let’s get into it.
Under the Queen’s Umbrella

This one surprised me in a way I didn’t expect. I went in thinking it would just be another palace drama with politics and competition, but it quickly became something deeper. What I want to experience again is how the Queen carried everything. The strength, the strategy, the way she navigated chaos without losing control. And those moments when things started unfolding, and you realized not everything is as simple as it looks? I want that back. Because once you already know how everything plays out, the tension reduces. That first-time emotional investment hits differently.
Moon River

You already know I had to put this here. This one is personal at this point. What I want back is that gradual pull. The way the story didn’t rush you but still kept you hooked, the body swap, the lit romance, the palace struggles, the emotional moments, the quiet tension, the way everything started connecting slowly. And let’s be honest, the first time you fully understood what the drama was doing with its storytelling, it hit differently. That kind of realization is hard to recreate once you’ve seen it already.
Our Blooming Youth

This one had layers, and I don’t think I appreciated it fully until I was deep into it. The mystery, the politics, the relationships, everything was unfolding bit by bit. It wasn’t loud, but it kept you thinking. And those moments when pieces started coming together? That’s what I want again. Because once you know the answers, you can’t re-experience curiosity. And that curiosity was what made it interesting in the first place.
The First Night with the Duke

This one was chaotic in the best way. From the start, you already know you’re not in for something serious, but somehow it still pulls you in. The unpredictability, the humor, the “what is actually going on here?” moments, I want to feel that confusion again. Because that’s where most of the fun came from. Once you understand the pattern, it becomes easier to follow, but that first-time randomness? That’s the real experience.
Mr Queen

Now this one? I need to rewatch with zero memory because the confusion at the beginning was part of the fun. The body swap, the chaos, the personality clash, everything felt so unpredictable. One minute you’re laughing, the next minute you’re trying to understand what is going on, and somehow it all works. What made it special was how it didn’t take itself too seriously but still delivered emotional moments when you least expected it. Experiencing that balance again for the first time would hit differently.
I am not sure I can move on from these dramas because you can start new ones, enjoy them, but there will always be that one drama sitting somewhere in your mind like, “You know you’re not over me.”
Now tell me, which drama would you willingly forget just to experience it again like it’s your first time?
