If Korean Queens Had TikTok Accounts

I just know for a fact that if TikTok existed in Joseon, chaos will be the order of the day and while Kings owned accounts, you didn’t think the queen will stand aside and the relegated when the chance to tell their story their own way own way is presented to them on a platter of gold, right?
Some queens would have been soft-launching revolutions, dragging court politics, and posting “story-time” videos that would shake the palace to its bones.
Here’s how some iconic Korean queens would absolutely be running the TikTok app.
Queen Min (Empress Myeongseong)
Username: @RealEmpressEnergy

Queen Min would not be here for vibes. Her TikTok would be half political analysis, half subtle shade. One minute she’s explaining foreign diplomacy like “POV: you’re trying to protect Joseon while men keep underestimating you,” next minute she’s posting a calm GRWM while I go protect Joseon video
Comments Section: Her comment section would be full of enemies pretending to misunderstand her intentions, while her supporters stitch her videos like, “She warned them.” Educational, dangerous, and always ten steps ahead.
Queen Wongyeong
Username: @PowerIsntPretty

If manipulation were an art form, Queen Wongyeong would be teaching masterclasses because she’s too good. Her TikTok would be soft-spoken, polished, and terrifying if you read between the lines. She’d post videos about loyalty, sacrifice, and “knowing when to step back.” Expect calm voice-overs like, “Sometimes leadership means letting others take the credit.”
Comments Section: The comments will probably be screaming, “Mother is lying, but we respect it.” She’d trend without ever trying.
Queen Inhyeon
Username: @StillTheQueen

Her account would be the ultimate comeback story. One week, she’s posting cozy palace routines. Next thing, exile hits like a tornado. Then boom, she returns in all her glory. Her content would be soft, elegant, and victorious. She wouldn’t drag anyone directly; she’d just post a serene video of tea being poured with the caption, “Everything returns to its rightful place.” And somehow, everyone would know exactly who that’s for.
Queen Seondeok
Username: @BrainsOverBrawn

This one? Dangerous intellect. Queen Seondeok would run the strategy side of TikTok. Expect “If you know, you know” content, stitching men who doubt her rule with facts and logic, then end the video with a smile. Her followers would feel smart just for watching her content and even tag her as one of the hottest smartness experts on the app.
Comment Section: Her comments section will be full of comments like “I wish I found this page earlier,” “Preach it Queen,” and different self-acclaimed mentees rooting for and hyping her up.
Queen Cheorin
Username: @UnbotheredYourGrace

She’d be unintentionally hilarious. A queen trapped in court politics she didn’t sign up for, posting videos that scream, “I’m just trying to survive.” Expect dry humor, side-eye energy, and relatable captions like, “When you mind your business but politics won’t let you rest.” Her TikTok would feel modern without trying.
Comment Section: Pure chaos, but supportive chaos. Half the comments would be people saying, “Your Grace, blink twice if you need help,” while the other half is like, “Queen said nothing and still said everything.” Someone is always tagging the King like, “Sir, are you seeing this?” and another person is defending her with their whole chest.
Honestly, if Korean queens had TikTok, history books would look very different because we will see things from their own POVs instead of that of the historiographers.
So tell me. Which queen are you following, and which one are you blocking for peace of mind?
