If K-Drama Characters Were Lagos Danfo Passengers

If K-Drama Characters Were Lagos Danfo Passengers - featured image

K-Drama characters always look like they’ve never sweated in their life. I mean, even when they cry, it’s pretty and demure.

But in our imagination, let’s throw them into a Lagos danfo at peak hour, yes that time everyone is rushing home from work with no AC, no legroom, the conductor screaming “one chance!” and that random man selling cashew nuts shouting “madam buy something!” or even trying to stuff it in your mouth.

We don’t waste time here, so let’s see how these new characters will survive or if they will not.

Lee Young-joon (What's Wrong with Secretary Kim) will call LASTMA On the conductor

Ah, oga Lee, CEO of perfect posture, clean suit, and zero stress tolerance. Bros will enter danfo, look around like “Is this the poverty they warned me about?” He’ll try to negotiate a price with the conductor and when the man shouts “Oga enter or commot!” Lee Young-joon will bring out his phone and say “I am calling the authorities. This is harassment.” So sir, but this is standard customer service in Lagos, learn humility by fire (I am not the one who sent you to Lagos… Okay, okay, let’s just pretend I am not).

Cheon Sa-rang (King the Land) Will Try to Smile Her Way Through It

Our girl is all about service with a smile until Lagos starts Lagos-ing. She will probably board a danfo without a proper roof or a leaking one then rain falls, her makeup runs, driver hits the brakes suddenly to cuss another driver, and she hits her head on the iron bar, but guess what? She still keeps smiling until the conductor says “I no get changed.” Then you’ll hear her mutter in Korean, “I’m going to fight this man today.” At the end of the day, she will learn that not every smile works in Lagos. Sometimes, you gats vex small.

Kim Shin (Goblin) Will Use His Powers to Avoid Danfo Entirely

This ahjussi will NEVER willingly enter danfo but say his powers fail him for just one day, he’ll try to act unbothered, sit at the corner by the window, but the moment someone brushes him with a sweaty elbow? He will go, “Do you know who I am?” Try to summon his sword, but his powers already failed him, meaning, ‘No sword appearance.’ The best he could do is narrate the person’s generational history for him (Courtesy: His life long experiences). That will be such a humbling experience for the immortal one.

Judge Kang Nan-young (Judge from Hell) Will Conduct Hearings Between Driver and Conductor

One small fight between the danfo driver and the conductor about “change” and who actually picked that last passenger, and boom, the judge from hell clocks in.

She stands up, drops her handbag dramatically on her lap, and goes “Objection, overruled, and both of you are guilty of disturbing my peace.” She doesn’t need a wig or gown. Her voice alone has enough authority to silence everyone.

She delivers her sentence like a final warning in court “Driver, move this bus. Conductor, hold your nonsense. And if either of you speaks again, you’ll trek from Ojota to Oshodi.” Peace returns. Aunty Judge stares out the window like nothing happened, sipping her Zobo (Can Coca-Cola).

Hong Cha-young (Vincenzo) – The Passenger Who Must Win Every Argument

If Hong Cha-young was in a Lagos danfo, forget peace and quiet.

Let the conductor try to cheat her of ₦50 change, and you’ll see a full-blown courtroom drama play out before the bus reaches the next bus stop. She would cross-examine the conductor, call on other passengers as “witnesses,” and even quote imaginary transport laws until she gets justice.

And you better not make her summon the love of her life, a.k.a The Mafia consigliere

Lagos danfo is the real test of character development. It will humble your faves and show them shege in 4D.

Drop your guesses, which K-Drama character will survive all these?
